WHAT IS REIKI?
**PLEASE NOTE ALL REIKI SESSIONS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED AT THIS TIME DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS**
Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others. It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free-flowing. When this is true a person’s body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness.
Reiki focuses on infusing healing energy into the body as well as removing old blockages which can occur from past traumas (physical or emotional) and current stress and anxiety. Reiki also clears and opens the chakras as well as balances one’s total energetic (auric) field.
Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle form of pain management and relief, and is safe for all ages
Although traditional Reiki involves “hands on” healing, if you are uncomfortable with healing touch, energy can effectively be sent into the body from a distance.
WHAT IS TAROT
The tarot can be described as a soul map, a deep psychological guide to self-empowerment as depicted through 78 symbolic cards. An effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each with its own imagery, symbolism, and story. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent life’s karmic and spiritual lessons, and the 56 Minor Arcana cards reflect the trials and tribulations that we experience on a daily basis.
Tarot works through a process known as synchronicity, a term coined by psychologist Carl Jung to describe the temporally coincident occurrence of events. In synchronicity, there is no distinction between inner and outer. The choice of a card is exactly what your higher self already knows. This is what tarot readers call the conversation with your higher self. The cards always work. It’s not magic—tarot cards are a sacred mirror.
Tarot does not "tell the future". Rather, Tarot is a tool used to access intuition and inner wisdom to promote positive changes to assist the querent in manifesting their goals and dreams in the future.
Tarot is not affiliated with any religion, practice or belief system. Anyone can learn to read and interpret Tarot cards, and anyone can have their cards read. This can be for serious questions, or for respectful entertainment. It is up to the individual and their intent and desire.
What is an Intuitive-Sensitive / Empath
There really is no singular answer to this question. We all experience the world around us and interpret the information we receive in different ways. Heidi Sawyer, a leader in the field of Highly Sensitive/Intuitive People says this:
"Intuitive-Sensitives have, in the majority of cases, developed an additional component to their sensitivity as a layer of emotional self-protection. This ‘extra’ part is an extra-sensory skill over and above the normal senses."
We all have moments of heightened awareness. Times when we seem to have a "knowing" about something that is about to occur, or we get a "gut" feeling about a person or situation. I believe Highly Sensitive People or Intuitives, take that "gut feeling" or "knowing" a step further. It is not just an inkling. The information we receive is as real as any other data or input we can see with our eyes or hear with our ears. Beyond receiving that information, we also are able to interpret the meaning behind it and how and where it may apply to serve and honor one's highest good, whether that be to heal old wounds or awaken new possibilities.
An empath feels and sometimes can absorb other people’s emotions and/or physical symptoms because of their high sensitivities. They often filter the world through their intuition and if left unchecked or unguided, being an empath can sometimes cause the individual to be overwhelmed with even the simplest of interactions.
With the right guidance and intention, one can incorporate their skill as an empath to help identify areas of cause or concern within others and use that information to help find relief, comfort or necessary growth, without causing any unnecessary harm or stress to the empath.
WHAT IS A CELEBRANT
Celebrancy is the art of being able to design and lead Weddings/Handfastings, Funerals, Baby Namings & other Rites of Passage. I am an ordained Minister and have also taken courses in Celebrancy with the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids to gain better insight and understanding to design and perform heartfelt celebrations of life along with every milestone, be it birth, marriage, or death.
It can be said that at my core I am connected to the Earth and æther through an unseen and unbreakable energetic bond. A deep and unique connection to the Land, the Seen, and the Unseen. In truth, my Magick is not for everyone, and that is perfectly ok.
If one had to define the way I walk through the world, it could be said that I walk through in a constant state of wonder. Seeing beauty, synchronicity, meaning, and message in every moment. I gather, learn, interpret, know, and connect to message, meaning, and guidance. At the most basic level, I am an Interpreter. I can help you to know, understand and come into alignment through universal message, guidance and meaning meant specifically for you. I have also mastered the magic of "making", and craft a variety of tools, trinkets, and wares for everyone to enjoy. This can be a solitary existence because, in truth, the work that has brought me here has taken me deep within, but it is through this journeying that I see the needs arising in the wider world for mentorship and guidance for those in similar positions as myself.
Additionally, I am a certified Reiki Master/Teacher and have been reading Tarot for over 17 years. I utilize Human Design to help integrate the individual and employ a variety of energetic tools to access those things that may not seem consciously obvious. I employ these - and more, techniques to assist in clearing, healing, and opening up energetic pathways to allow for clarity and understanding. I continually seek to learn new mediums and methods, and recently, I have explored and mastered a variety of techniques that enhance these practices and allow me to better tap into my own intuitive abilities even further and connect on a deeper level to both my clients and Guides.
The road that brought me here has been wide and varied. In this space, I am honored to be able to work intuitively and empathically with my own Guides to help others come to a place of balance, healing, and growth. As with many things along the path, we meet the right people, see the right information, and opportunities pop up just at the right time - but there are no coincidences. All of my training has taken its time and each step has been allowed to blossom at its own pace along the way. I will forever be grateful to my teachers and mentors for believing in me and walking with me on my journey. They have given me the means to grow through service to others and in raising their vibrational awareness and energy; something our society and our planet desperately need. It has taught me to honor and work deeply with the gifts I set aside for a very long time, and to trust in them for the benefit of all.
My past professional careers have played an integral part in my ability to share these gifts and assist others. Holding two masters degrees in Instructional Design and Educational Media and Design, and having spent all of my adult life working in the field of education and training, I have a vast knowledge of the way others receive and retain information and the best ways to assist in learning and assimilating that new information. It is always exciting and humbling to watch another gain new insight into themselves and the world around them.
As a U.S. Navy Veteran with ten years of active service and twenty years as a Navy spouse, I have a unique perspective on the needs of this community. While on active duty, I served as a Naval Aircrewman, flying aboard the P-3 Orion aircraft. This experience taught me many things, but one of the most lasting was the importance of camaraderie and trust, and that family is not just limited to the people who share your last name. As service members, we and our families are subject to environmental, physical, and emotional stresses and struggles that the average person will (thankfully) never know, and it can be a heavy burden to bear. I am truly honored to be a part of this community and to be able to serve it still in a way I never thought possible before - through stress reduction, healing, and wellness to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of our service member family.
Additionally, I am a long time member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids and a practicing Celebrant conducting ceremony as an ordained minister, and currently undergoing training to perform End-of-Life ceremonies and assist in the passing of Spirit. At this time I primarily serve members of the Pagan, Non-Denominal, LGBTQ+, and other similarly under-serviced communities in this capacity.
For many years, I struggled to define the gifts that live within me. "What do I call it?", "What is it I 'do' ?" I thought I had nothing to offer because I could not quantify what it was I was feeling, seeing, hearing, knowing. If I can't explain it to someone, how can I be helpful, right? I set out to learn as much as I could about connection and vibrational energy. How to experience it, heal with it, align with it, manifest and actualize reality with it... I settled on Reiki as a system, as it was widely known and something I believe people were comfortable with. Truth be told, I have read, learned, and explored so many more systems - more than I ever knew existed before. When it comes down to it, I carry within me ancient knowledge, wisdom, and wonder. The words and names have fallen away to time, but the energy always remains. The need always remains and the magic that it holds has never truly disappeared. There is wonder and mystery and wisdom in the slightest of glances, the smallest of places, the gentlest of things.
Giving Back to the Collective
I have worn many different hats and had many different labels in this life. The one I am most proud to wear is one of witness - to see each and every individual for who they truly are. In Human Design, I am a 2/4 Manifesting Generator / Sacral Authority. I am also a Reiki Master - Teacher, an ordained minister and have completed several courses with the Heidi Sawyer Group in the areas of Self Healing and Intuitive Guidance. The mission is clear. I am here to witness and guide as many minds as the will of the Universe allows. To raise my personal vibration, and that of the collective consciousness so that we may heal ourselves, generational trauma, and our Mother Earth in order to shift into a new, more balanced reality
Intuitive Guidance and Mentorship
Human Design is an intricate system that has many facets. It is a language and system of classifications, visually representing the human experience. Its many components represent different aspects of how we function. It names our feelings and offers insights into how different parts of us work. While there are different understandings and applications of this system it brings an incredible wealth of information and understanding at any level. I suppose it could be said that I am a Human Design "Heretic" - in that I do not subscribe to the school of thought that there is only ONE "right" way to know, express, and apply this information. While there is immense respect for those that complete and operate within such a system, it is my personal opinion that any system that becomes dogmatic in its approach and existence cannot truly live or serve those it is intended to serve.
